Remember...

I meant to do this earlier this weekend..I feel bad that I had forgot and didn't get around to it until now. It still makes my hair stand up when I see his picture. I knew and worked with Sgt Lord for a few years and even on occasion had a few beers with him. I wouldn't say we were boys or anything but we knew and were respectful to one another. It's just weird seeing his name on a list of people who have been killed in the war and you think to yourself...I really have nothing to complain about.

To any patriotic american who reads this.....whether you agree with bush or not...go to CNN.com and take a look at the people who have perrished in the last few years over in Iraq. Believe me..There's a few gripes I myself have about the way this war is running over in the sand. But the politics behind it all shouldn't take away the honor and glory of the men who have gave their lives to do a job that their country has called them to do. Remember...........

Sgt. Richard M. Lord
24
1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force
Jacksonville, Florida
Died from injuries received due to hostile action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq, on August 18, 2004
